Estelite Asteria Restorative Composite, Syringe 4.0 g (Tokuyama, Japan)

Estelite Asteria from Tokuyama Dental is designed for creating highly aesthetic composite restorations using a simplified 2-step technique. 

Body shades offer a specific translucency combined with sufficient opacity, preventing the dark oral cavity from showing through without the use of opaques (dentins). A1-A4 Body shades are suitable for most natural teeth.

Additional Body shades: BL - for bleached teeth, B3B - for yellowish teeth.

Enamel shades have translucency close to that of natural enamel. NE (Natural Enamel) is mainly used for anterior teeth, while OcE (Occlusal Enamel) is used for the occlusal surface of posterior teeth. 

3 additional enamel shades (instead of NE) are used in the following cases: 

  •  TE (Translucent Enamel) - for anterior teeth with high translucency,
  • WE (White Enamel) - for light, bleached teeth
  • YE (Yellow Enamel) - for teeth with discolorations or orange-yellowish enamel.

The layering concept and shade selection system were developed by Dr. Noboru Takahashi. 

Estelite Asteria contains 82% by weight (71% by volume) of a silicon-zirconium filler. The inorganic filler particles in Estelite Asteria have a spherical shape (average particle size 200 nm). This supra-nano spherical filler allows for a very smooth surface with excellent gloss, which is easily achieved during polishing and maintained for a long time. The high filler loading ensures low polymerization shrinkage and increased wear resistance. 

The Radical-Amplified Photopolymerization initiator technology (RAP technology) used in Estelite Asteria ensures rapid polymerization and a longer working time (resistance to operatory light). 

Estelite Asteria is very user-friendly, does not stick to instruments, and is easy to mold.
