Technical Specifications of OMNICHROMA

The absence of pigments in the OMNICHROMA composite from Tokuyama Dental, combined with a high filler loading (79% by weight and 68% by volume) and the presence of UDMA in the organic matrix, determine the following properties:

  • Low polymerization shrinkage — 1.5%;
  • High wear resistance of both the restoration and opposing teeth;
  • High compressive strength (430 MPa) and flexural strength (130 MPa);
  • Excellent polishability: finishing requires minimal time;
  • Abrasion resistance: no need for re-polishing after six months to a year;
  • Stain resistance;
  • Enhanced biocompatibility and hypoallergenicity.

The restorative material exhibits exceptional plasticity, allowing for better adaptation to cavity walls and floor, eliminating the need for thorough condensation with instruments.

It should be noted that OMNICHROMA exhibits pronounced differences in color and opacity before and after light curing: before curing, the composite is opaque and white. This enables better visualization and refinement of the restoration margins and removal of excess material before polymerization. After 20 seconds of curing, OMNICHROMA acquires natural translucency and adapts to the shade of the underlying tooth structure.
